Terms of Service

These terms explain the rules that apply when you use Limot, create an account, purchase Limot Pro, or copy or export animated backgrounds.

Last updated: July 24, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

Limot (“we” or “us”) provides services for browsing, adjusting, copying code for, and exporting animated web backgrounds (the “Service”) through limot.dev. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old or have reached the legal age to enter into contracts independently in your jurisdiction. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.

2. Service and accounts

Some effects are available for free; others require an active Limot Pro entitlement. We may improve, add, or discontinue features and will provide reasonable notice of changes that materially affect purchased entitlements.

You must provide accurate account information, safeguard your login credentials, and take responsibility for activity on your account. If you discover unauthorized access, promptly contact [email protected].

3. Limot Pro and payments

Limot Pro is a one-time purchase of US$30. It provides lifetime access to current and future Pro effects and all export formats. “Lifetime” means for as long as Limot continues to operate the relevant services; it does not mean that any particular feature or online infrastructure will remain unchanged indefinitely.

Your purchase is not a subscription and will not renew automatically or incur recurring charges. Prices shown at checkout may exclude taxes required by law. Payments are processed by Waffo Pancake, a payment processor that meets PCI-DSS requirements. We do not store full payment card details on Limot servers.

4. Digital delivery and refunds

Pro access is activated immediately after payment is confirmed and constitutes digital content delivered immediately. Unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise, purchases are generally non-refundable once you have accessed Pro effects, copied Pro code, or exported Pro content.

If you are charged twice, paid access is not activated, or you have a legal right to cancel or receive a refund, contact [email protected] within 7 days of the transaction with your account email, transaction ID, and reason for the request. Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method; processing times depend on the payment provider.

5. Content, code, and licensing

Subject to these terms, you may use background code and visual outputs lawfully copied or exported through Limot in personal or commercial projects. This license is non-exclusive and does not transfer ownership of the Limot product, trademarks, website source code, or effect library itself.

You may not resell, sublicense, or publish mirrors of Limot’s effect library, source code collections, or bulk exports in their original form, or repackage them as an asset library or generation tool that directly competes with Limot. You remain responsible for ensuring that your inputs, brand assets, and final use do not infringe third-party rights.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, or harmful activities; circumvent paid access controls, security measures, or usage limits; disrupt the Service; scrape effect resources in bulk; or access other people’s accounts or systems without authorization.

7. Availability and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, or that generated outputs will be suitable for your particular purpose. You should test exported code and files before using them in production.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses. Our aggregate liability for all claims related to your use of the Service is limited to the amount you actually paid Limot before the claim arose. This section does not limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Suspension, termination, and changes

We may suspend or terminate an account if you materially breach these terms, are suspected of fraud, or pose a risk to the security of the Service. You may contact us to request account deletion; your data will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms. We will generally give at least 15 days’ notice of material changes through a website announcement or your registered email, except where the law requires immediate effect. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Limot’s operator is located, without affecting non-waivable consumer rights granted by the laws of your jurisdiction. In the event of a dispute, both parties should first seek a resolution through good-faith discussions.

For questions about these terms, accounts, payments, refunds, or security, contact [email protected].
